Our recently graduated Year 11 students achieved outstanding IGCSE results this year with a school record of 43% A/A* grades and a 96% A*/C grades.
ISS Headmaster Jeremy Lees was thrilled, “Congratulations to all the students who did their utmost to achieve their very best potential grades and to all the teachers at ISS who have guided and supported them tirelessly over the years.”
Anastasiia Zhikol shone with an incredible 7 A*-grades and 3 A-grades. All the more admirable given that Anastasiia joined ISS in year 6 as an EAL student (English as an Additional Language) with limited knowledge of English with Russian as her mother tongue and yet achieved such outstanding results. Through sheer hard work, determination and belief in herself, Anastasiia has shown others what is achievable with the support of great teachers and a nurturing school as a backdrop.
We are so proud of her and her peers for their hard work. She will go onto to take up her full academic scholarship at Bromsgrove International School in Bangkok to study A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science. This will bring her a step closer to fulfilling her dream of studying for an Engineering degree at university in the future.
Congratulations to all our students on their grades and their chosen A-level/IB destinations. Students from ISS have been accepted at top schools in Bangkok including Shrewsbury, NIST, Harrow and Bromsgrove to study for A-levels as well as schools in Phuket to pursue IB studies. Some students have gone further afield back to the UK, New Zealand and Australia.
All students at ISS study the internationally recognised Cambridge IGCSE curriculum which promotes an application-based approach and offers a broad spectrum of subjects that develop students’ mastery in various academic areas.
