Our young adults learnt firsthand knowledge of their local coastline, coastal landforms, coastal processes, the impact of coastal erosion on people & properties and various coastal defences. This reinforced the work that the students have studied in class.
Whilst there, they also conducted a small ecosystem investigation covering a topic they are currently studying in Science.
After the coastal investigations, the students had the opportunity to enjoy the area with their colleagues to relax before the team headed back to ISS for lunch. The trip concluded with a stopover at a local resort, Tree House, for refreshments.
It was a very nice, typical sunny day in Koh Samui made special by fun learning and relaxing had by all.
